Currently, we are recruiting for a Senior Consultant to join our Growth Strategies consulting team.  Our Growth Strategies practice works in the areas of sales, marketing and customer service to improve overall go-to-market strategies and tactics while enhancing the overall customer experience.   Our domain of expertise spans from strategic marketing to post sales service.  If you are a highly-motivated, accomplished individual looking for an organization like Baker Tilly, consider joining us.  This position is targeted to work out of our Chicago or Minnesota offices.


As a part of Baker Tilly’s Consulting Practice, you will play an integral role on our project teams and assist our clients in designing and implementing the right solutions with a practical approach in order to meet their unique business needs. Our teams of experienced consultants help organizations identify opportunities for improvement, plan and execute initiatives, evaluate project performance, and provide subject matter consultation in strategy, operations, financial, technology, human capital, customer and project management.

  • Develop long term roadmaps which describe delivering large scale solutions via a series of projects. 
  • Identify, foster, and incorporate Project Management industry best practices.

  • Apply business and functional knowledge and expertise, working in collaboration with technical consulting staff on Baker Tilly engagement teams, in the implementation of business-aligned/driven solutions.

  • A focus on business solution alignment, from requirements definition to functional design, to use case-based testing and training programs, to change management (leveraged communication plans, training, etc.).

  • The role will be responsible to incorporate the capabilities of many Cloud Computing vendors, chiefly, (API, APEX & Visual Force).

  • Deep involvement in configuration, enhancement and testing of software applications to meet business process requirements.

  • Functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration/customization changes and maintenance of solutions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of configuration and implementation experience, with a strong preference of hands-on experience with one or more CRM software packages: Oracle CRM OnDemand, Oracle Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, NetSuite, etc. Experience with configuration and custom development: Flex, APEX,, Python, or Ruby.  Previous related industry and consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Prior development experience for a professional consulting or CRM company.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required.
  • Ability to engage effectively at the business and technical level, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
  • Strong preference for candidates who are PMP certified or possess certifications.
  • Ability to travel.
