    Baker Tilly is recruiting for Growth Leaders at the Partner and Senior Manager levels to join our New York, Philadelphia, and/or Texas offices and support our growing national Real Estate Services Practice. Private equity, Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), and/or internal audit experience preferred, but not required.

    Responsibilities

    The Growth Leader is responsible for providing leadership in one of the fastest growing markets within Baker Tilly through the development, coordination and execution of strategic and operational plans that support practice and firm objectives.
     
    Primary areas of responsibility include:
    • Represent Baker Tilly and develop relationships in the local marketplace, participate in relevant industry events, and undertake speaking engagements
    • Facilitate practice growth initiatives, including go-to-market efforts
    • Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their business challenges; identify and develop opportunities for Baker Tilly to provide services, including financial statement audit and a range of advisory services (including tax, internal audit, construction audit, cybersecurity)
    • Serve as leader for overall client relationships; lead day-to-day project activities in your area(s) of expertise; establish appropriate leverage on project teams and assign/manage project responsibilities to team members
    • Operate within and effectively leverage Baker Tilly’s matrixed structure of industry, service, and geography to develop and execute growth strategies; work in close coordination with regional and national leaders for the firm’s Real Estate practice and Risk, Internal Audit and Cybersecurity practice
    • Provide coaching and performance counseling to project team members; teach and mentor to cultivate industry expertise
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Real estate industry expert with extensive existing relationships in the local marketplace
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management/Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related program
    • 8+ years of directly related work experience, including professional services firm experience required, and client-facing service delivery and management of project teams
    • CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CIPP certifications preferred
    • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrixed organization with geographically dispersed colleagues in a fast-paced environment, conduct business in an ethical fashion, maintain confidentiality when appropriate, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
    • Entrepreneurial nature and experience in building a practice
    • Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
    • A leader with a demonstrated ability to develop relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
    • Proven client service focus, with an ability to resolve issues quickly and with integrity and sound judgment; a self-starter with a sense of initiative, urgency and commitment to timely completion of projects
    • Flexibility to travel up to 30%
    • Ability to work outside of core business hours and overtime as needed
