    This position is responsible for supporting the Accelerated Technology Group. This is a new initiative for Baker Tilly that includes identifying new technologies, creating Proof of Concept projects, designing and implementing technology for those projects and ultimately determining the impact and future steps of that new technology.

    Responsibilities

    Support Accelerated Technology Group’s role and mission

    • Identify new technologies that have the potential to positively impact the organization
    • Create projects/Proof of Concept engagements that have a short duration (12 weeks) and illustrate the possible use of the technologies within the firm
    • Operate in a “fast fail” environment
    • Prepare final reports on the Proof of Concept, which will include next steps for the organization (i.e. implement, shelve, abandon or identify a different Proof of Concept)

    Stakeholder Firm engagement

    • Communicate and work with firm leaders, other members of the firm in a liaison role to help support the technologies being investigated
    • Successfully work and operate in an environment that lacks clarity and is ambiguous
    • Identify key individuals to confirm overall themes for new technology uses and technology areas to investigate (i.e. Artificial Intelligence)
    • Assist with the preparation and communication of the status around Proof of Concepts, as well as the reporting and creation of key metrics

    Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise

    • Comply with continuing education requirements; participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc
    • Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science and Business degrees or equivalent preferred
    • 1-3 years of previous experience required
    • Ability to work independently with technical competence
    • The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service is required
    • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills required
    • A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects. Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
    • A demonstrable mindset that allows for personal and professional success in an environment that lack clarity, has uncertainty and ambiguity. A natural curiosity for technology
