    Develop and implement strategic marketing plans in concert with the Marketing Director for industries, service lines and business units. Manages, researches, and executes marketing strategies and tactics based on those plans and responds to specific marketing opportunities as needed. Works closely with the Partners, Team Leaders, Marketing Team, and others to:


    Manage and execute marketing activities for local industry teams and business units

    • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, including lead generation and cross-selling strategies and programs; analyze effectiveness; and report progress/results to key stakeholders
    • Manage a wide range of marketing activities such as webinars, event sponsorships, message development, speaking opportunities, e-mail and direct mail campaigns, advertising, communications, and PR to support the strategic marketing plan
    • Support development of industry-focused thought leadership materials, such as white papers, articles/alerts, case studies, and client testimonials
    • Collaborate on initiatives with other industry, service, and geographic marketers
    • Develop collateral tailored for each industry segment, coordinating with industry marketers to reflect unique value proposition
    • Understand and execute the Baker Tilly brand
    • Measure performance to demonstrate marketing’s contributions to business unit goals; tracking and report marketing return on investment (MROI) of initiatives
    • Support business development efforts, including contributing strategic insights to proposal and presentation development
    • Support development of press releases, alerts, and other public relations opportunities. Maintain up-to-date list of targeted industry or service-specific media contacts. Help generate story ideas, monitor competitive news, and develop strategies for communicating news/events
    • Effectively leverage CRM and other marketing automation tools
    • Conduct research and prepare reports on market intelligence
    • Respond to various research/marketing requests

    Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise

    • Participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
    • Integrate voice of the client, market research, and competitive data into industry/service line strategic marketing plans as well as specific marketing tactics
    • Become acknowledged and sought out by others due to extensive, in-depth knowledge and expertise of the market, industries and service lines

    Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
    • Minimum of seven (7) years business-to-business marketing experience, preferably in a professional services environment, and minimum of three (3) years in management  
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
    • Excellent people skills and an enthusiastic and collaborative attitude
    • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
    • Strong computer and online skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
    • Excellent campaign planning and measurement skills, including experience in building integrated campaigns for leveraging thought leadership
    • Sound knowledge of Marketing Automation
    • Superior professionalism, judgment, and strong work ethic
    • Strategic thinker, able to build relationships, and be a creative problem-solver
    • Strong grasp of marketing principles, including understanding of social media and other digital marketing
    • Ability to travel as needed
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff from entry level to partners and work well in a team-focused environment
