Baker Tilly is currently hiring a Project Finance Analyst. This is a great opportunity for someone with audit, financial modeling, accounting, and underwriting experience to work within our established Transactions practice to serve clients located throughout the U.S. in a project finance setting.

In this role, you will work closely with Partners and Managers servicing existing clients, serving as the secondary contact to deliver consulting services such as:

  • Collecting necessary data and evaluating compliance with applicable federal and/or state tax codes and regulations for multiple, on-going transactions simultaneously
  • Teaming with clients to determine the structure of real estate and non-real estate financial transactions
  • Evaluating the appropriateness of proposed transactions relative to the business strategy of existing clients
  • Supporting client infrastructure and procedures to administer project finance programs
  • Drafting and negotiating term sheets between borrowers and clients
  • Preparing write-ups and underwriting of transactions for clients
  • Writing, data analysis, community impact analysis, pipeline building and obtaining capital commitments
  • Executing financial modeling for transactions
  • Assisting clients to locate and evaluate transactions, if necessary
  • General consulting to assist clients in achieving their objectives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation highly desirable
  • One (1) to four (4) years of experience with audit, financial modeling, underwriting and/or real estate experience highly desired
  • Prior CPA firm experience preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
  • Willingness to travel
