The Human Resources Manager serves as a business partner and advisor to business unit leadership and provides both strategic and tactical HR leadership.  Responsible for cultivating and leading a diverse and engaging culture where exceptional people thrive.

Work with HR Director and business unit leadership to develop and drive the business unit strategic plan

  • Develop, analyze, and implement human resources initiatives to support the core values and strategic direction of the regional office or business unit(s)
  • Act as a coach/advisor to partners and leaders on people related matters and initiatives
  • Serve as a steward and champion of the office culture; advance diversity and inclusion strategies

Oversee campus and experienced hire recruiting process

  • Work with the campus recruiting team to develop and execute the college relations and recruiting strategies
  • Assist business unit leadership in identifying and planning of workforce needs
  • Participate in the selection process as needed  

Provide employee relations guidance, including training and staff development

  • Develop and maintain processes and programs that promote positive employee relations, engagement, and retention through effective implementation of the firm’s employee relations practices and programs
  • Conduct internal investigations, provide findings and recommendations to leadership; work with legal counsel as appropriate 

Provide oversight of compensation planning and performance management

  • Advance the performance management process including talent review, development planning and feedback processes
  • Counsel and guide managers and partners on performance management, delivery of feedback, and performance improvement plans as necessary; conduct annual calibration meetings. 
  • Provide direction to partners related to workforce planning and promotions
  • Oversee and execute the annual merit compensation processes
  • Serve as point of contact, interpreter, liaison and mediator for performance or compensation related policies, procedures and practices of the firm                   

Manage employee lifecycle

  • Oversee/conduct new employee orientation and termination processes
  • Manage the daily human resource needs of the business unit(s) and implement best practices that support our people strategy
  • Be visibly and openly accessible in the regional environment to serve as a coach, mentor and counselor       


  • Bachelor Degree (Business Administration, Human Resources Management or other related field) required  
  • Masters (Business Administration or other related field) preferred 
  • Minimum of six (6) years progressive human resources generalist experience preferably working within a professional services environment; knowledge of public accounting and financial services industry highly desired
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff and partners
  • Strong knowledge of human resources regulations, including federal and state laws
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
