The Organizational Development (OD) Senior Manager acts as an organizational development liaison and advisor to leadership and facilitates initiatives across the Firm. This position effectively uses consulting and influencing skills to develop valued relationships with key stakeholders and provides human resources and learning and development tools and/or expertise to enhance leader performance, improve team effectiveness, and advance change imperatives.   

 

Responsibilities

 

Operate as an organizational leader and internal consultant to identify, develop, and implement business processes and organizational effectiveness solutions to align workforce and key business initiatives.

  • Manage organizational development (OD) strategies and processes for business unit including performance management, talent development, team effectiveness, and leadership coaching.
  • Conduct organization assessments, make recommendations for change, help design new structures and jobs, and redesign management processes to meet business objectives.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and develop training solutions, materials, and tools.
  • Provide project management for business unit projects/initiatives. Help to define project goals, timelines, resource requirements, and facilitate team efforts to ensure success.
  • Contribute to practice development initiatives including culture building, community involvement, recruiting, thought leadership, etc.

Serve as a subject matter expert for recruitment, selection and hiring matters.

  • Advise leaders on development of hiring plans and needs analyses.
  • Work with talent acquisition team to develop job descriptions, salary ranges, and recruitment strategy.
  • Participate in the selection process; interview, assess and recommend hiring decisions and advise on compensation offers.
  • Create onboarding plans for new hires.

Develop and execute change management strategies to support and advance strategic goals and provide coaching to leaders and executives.

  • Develop action plans to support change initiatives. Assess risks associated with various change initiatives/projects and implement actions to manage any negative impacts.
  • Develop and execute communication plans that facilitate communication among employees, management, and the organization.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with the Firm leadership, HR specialists, and other internal clients to identify and intervene on change management initiatives that foster learning and address firm strategic goals and needs.

Work closely with the Talent Management, Talent Operations and Human Resources Leadership team to prioritize business unit initiatives that align with the HR strategic plan.

  • Assist with planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of employee relations, diversity and compensation programs.
  • Collaborate with HR and other leaders to establish processes that create organization health, employee engagement and sense of community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Development or closely related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
  • Experience building a function or working for a start-up organization desirable.
  • 8+ years related experience in organizational development and/or training.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation/facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking.
  • Strong project management capabilities and a broad understanding of business methodologies and continuous improvement.
