Responsibilities

  • Coordinates helpdesk support efforts and ensures resolution of problems to users’ satisfaction.  Monitors and responds effectively and quickly to requests received through the help desk.  Utilizes and maintains ServiceNow. Maintains and complies with quality service by following organization’s technological standards. Documents procedures used.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves all problems encountered with hardware and software, as abilities allow, and escalates problems outside of technician's scope. Provides support to other IT personnel as requested. Modifies configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation environment.
  • Installs, tests and configures work stations, peripheral equipment and software. May include monitor, keyboard, mouse, computer, hard drive, scanners, printers, etc.
  • Replaces and/or repairs defective parts and equipment. Maintains inventory, by location and status, of all equipment, software and software licenses, in use in their assigned offices.
  • Conducts briefings and demonstrations for users to enhance systems productivity. Assists in the development of training coursework and materials as well as performs the actual training.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending technical education, attending workshops, reading publications and pursuing technical certifications.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role required. 
  • Associate’s degree in networking or technology preferred. Certifications such as MCP, A+ preferred. 
  • The person selected for this role will need to work 3 days a week in our Janesville office and 2 days a week in our Madison office.
