The Higher Education Marketing Senior Associate is responsible for the execution of strategic marketing plans for the Higher Education industry. Responsibilities include coordinating and executing a wide range of marketing tactics and initiatives, including demand generation of content and thought leadership; lead generation through sponsorships, events, speaking engagements, webinars, and e-mail marketing; collateral development; and brand-building advertising and PR. Responsibilities also include close collaboration with key industry partner stakeholders through delegated work in response to specific opportunities or as needed.

  • Coordinate and execute a wide range of marketing tactics and initiatives to support the Higher Education industry.
    • Work closely with key internal stakeholders, partners, subject matter experts, and marketing team members to implement marketing and sales initiatives.
    • Coordinate and execute activities to support thought leadership promotion, sponsorships, special events, seminars, webinars, trade show exhibits, communications, benchmarking studies, and advertising, with related follow up actions and measurement of results
    • Conduct online research of specific organizations, target lists, competitors, and industry niches periodically.
    • Assist higher education team in maintaining current industry-specific proposal and presentation content, website content, collateral, templates, and other sales-supporting materials.
    • Assist in the tracking of marketing budget, measurement of results and marketing return on investment.
    • Assist with public relations opportunities. Help generate thought leadership and story ideas, monitor competitive news, and develop specialized strategies for communicating other events.
    • Utilize Microsoft Office suite, marketing automation, and other software to execute work.
    • Ensure work meets the Baker Tilly brand guidelines. 
  • Other responsibilities
    • Maintain and expand knowledge base in higher ed industry
    • Participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
    • Integrate new knowledge, skills, and best practices into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate.
    • Participate in marketing task forces and special projects.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years of marketing execution experience required, professional services environment preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with writing/editing, marketing automation/e-mail platforms, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel required. Experience with social media, InDesign, PR, and Adobe Photoshop a plus.
  • Requires professionalism, diplomacy, organization, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple project requests simultaneously in a timely manner, as well as the ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Must work well in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. High-level verbal and written communication skills required. High attention to detail is essential.
