Due to the continued growth of our Consulting Practice, we are currently interviewing Directors for our Forensics, Litigation and Valuation Service Practice to be based in our Chicago, Atlanta or New York office. This role will be focused on providing valuation services including, business enterprise valuations and intangible and tangible asset valuations in the context of disputes.

 

Our Practice delivers solutions to law firms and corporate clients in key areas including:  

  • Bankruptcy and Restructuring;
  • Complex commercial disputes;
  • Fraud and forensic investigations;
  • Monitorships and regulatory compliance;
  • Structured transactions and capital markets;
  • Valuation services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide valuation and economic analysis services to clients. Research and analyze factors affecting valuations and perform quality control review of valuation analyses.
  • Prepare Expert Reports and underlying exhibits for complex valuation matters and draft expert reports and client presentations
  • Conduct management interviews, when necessary.
  • Determination of lost profits and economic damages, intangible assets and intellectual property valuations.
  • Work in conjunction with various service line disciplines in creating collaborative analyses.
  • Assist with strengthening existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities by participating in sales meetings working on proposals and developing your own personal network of potential clients.
  • Interact directly with Partners and leadership on client and engagement management.
  • Oversee the work, lead engagements and guide team members ensuring quality best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance Economics or related field. Masters’ Degree is highly desired.
  • CFA,CPA, CDBV, CFE or other relevant certifications required.
  • At least 15 years of experience in a professional services environment (or a combination or professional services and industry experience), providing valuation services to clients.  
  • Proven success with business development (selling consulting services, building a book of business)
  • High-level of proficiency concerning data analysis and financial modeling (ability to use Excel and Access based applications
  • Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies as well as proven written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work in a fast paced, and deadline driven environment across multiple units
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide excellent client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and solid Microsoft Suite skills required.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. Must display appropriate ethical knowledge. Must exhibit a sense of urgency and  comfortably interact with senior level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings

  • Flexibility to travel to client site as needed and ability to work beyond core business hours.
