We are looking for a creative Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to join our Baker Tilly Catalyst team in either Madison, WI or Janesville, WI

The Catalyst team combines core service needs with industry expertise and cloud accounting solutions to deliver customized dashboards and reports that assist our clients in making strategic business decisions. Responsibilities

  • Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Baker Tilly systems, their components and functionality, understanding how end-users utilize the software and how it integrates with existing infrastructure environments and internal and external interfaces.
  • Analyzes current state, defines future state, performs gap analysis, assesses risks, and defines strategy to ensure proposed solutions align with strategic objectives.
  • Analyzes business processes to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures business is operationally prepared to manage changes, including updated process documentation, training, and effective communications.
  • Serves as a liaison between business units, technical staff, and/or solution vendors to ensure clear understanding and effective communication and interpretation of information.
  • Responsible for defining, (and/or redefining) business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.
  • Consults with business users to understand the business goals and objectives and translates requirements into re-engineered business processes.
  • Acts as an intermediary between the business community and the IT community working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify and translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation, process models, and data models (using appropriate tools) from which applications and solutions are designed and developed.
  • Provides analytical and technical support in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of our current and/or new systems.
  • Proactively resolves customer satisfaction issues and provides application support and escalation to vendor when necessary.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, required. Concentration in Information Systems or related field, preferred.
  • PMP certification, preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in business and/or systems analysis with project management or leadership responsibilities.
  • Capability to communicate, motivate, and organize projects among a broad spectrum of people throughout the organization.
  • Proficiency in planning, effective requirements gathering, and documenting and understanding business processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and methods, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to listen; deliver effective group presentations; communicate persuasively with a variety of audiences and individuals at all levels of the organization; facilitate groups to achieve objectives, including resolution of conflict within groups or among individuals; and compose clear and concise technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems, research and analyze issues from multiple perspectives, reach sound conclusions while demonstrating logical reasoning, and make appropriate decisions and recommendations.
  • Strong leadership skills including assertiveness, diplomacy, respect for differing opinions, creative thinking, and drive.
  • Ability to understand how the people, processes, and technology in an organization interact.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Must be accountable, open, candid and transparent as the situation dictates.
  • Ability to quickly learn new information and systems, and to adapt to new situations by altering approach and methods.
  • Must be self-motivated and take initiative.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
